 Conduct individual academic advising sessions with scholars discussing the choices of universities available both overseas and locally, discussing various majors available to scholars

 Assist scholars in choosing majors to pursue, based on their academic competencies and interests, ensuring that the appropriate major is selected by the scholars

 Coordinate with universities and obtain curriculum and course listings for all majors offered and develop a course plan for scholars for the duration of their academic program

 Advise scholars on taking courses that are relevant to their major and ensure that courses are taken in the correct order (respecting prerequisites) and the universities curriculum is being followed

 Conduct meetings with scholars at the before the academic term begins, and then as frequently as required as the academic term progresses, addressing any queries the scholars may have

 Monitor the progress of scholars in current courses and make adjustments to the developed course plan if necessary

 Schedule meetings with scholars to discuss any issues that arise including, but not limited to, course changes, changes of majors and all other academic issues

 Maintain reports of all advisory sessions provided to scholars, and forward them to the Specialist – Scholarships

 Perform such other duties as assigned by the Manager – Scholarships.
