This position reports to the Finance Manager. The Accountant will provide the management of financial direction and support to the Senior Management Team, DFS. The core aim is to provide financial management of DFS accounting systems, develop and maintain customer relationships with DFS clientele, the facilitation of account management for the customers, strategic planning and budget solutions for the senior management team.

Experience: 5 – 10 Years

Education: Bachelors Degree

Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the financial support and direction to employees based in Dubai and Afghanistan.

1. The implementation of adequate accounting controls
2. Analyse revenues, costs and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately and accurately
3. Management of accurate financial reporting and analysis
4. Maintenance of all reporting and analysis of financial performance of individual cost centres
5. Analyse financial reports and make recommendations to management to assist them in the effective running of the business
6. Be responsible for effective management of costs associated with services and resources
7. Provide expertise in relation to Receivables to ensure that all customers meet company requirements within agreed timelines
8. Compile and implement financial policies and procedures
9. Ensure positive cash flow of the business
10. Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation

Skills:

1. At least five – seven year experience in an Accounting/ Finance capacity.
2. Leadership capabilities with the ability to work in team environment and motivate staff
3. Proficient in English both written and oral.
4. Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance or above
5. CPA registered or its equivalent
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
7. Ability to build financial models and forecasting techniques
8. High level of personal grooming and presentation.
9. Strong Analytical Skills.
10. Knowledge of the principals, methods and techniques used in financial environment as well as the production of reports, statistics, tables, graphs and standard operating procedures.
