Job Description:
They are seeking to hire services of an Associate Director, Risk Management
Associate Director Risk Management (Objective):
– A line and advisory function that coordinates with Senior and Line Management to provide added value through proper management of market, liquidity and foreign exchange risks.
– The manager is active in communicating risk awareness and risk information on the broad risks under his responsibility.
Key Tasks and Duties:
– Assists in identifying undue market risk concentrations, in encouraging the use of natural hedges, and in implementing new risk management technologies.
– Promotes consistency in the definition, measurement, and evaluation of market risks.
– Develops market risk measurement processes appropriate to the needs of the Bank. This measurement system should be able to comprehensively capture market risk, and in a manner that facilitates the on–line management of those risks.
– Ensures that market risk measurement systems and processes are regularly tested and verified against their predefined model assumptions, and are evaluated in terms of their capacity to accommodate growth of volume and the addition of new products.
– Ensures that all analytic and proprietary market risk models are revalidated according to the Banks policy and QFCRA regulations.
– Prepares “Rate of Return” risk report and where necessary, recommends modification of the interest rate profile to address perceived movement in interest rate.

Experience and
Education:
– University Degree in Business Management, Accounting, Mathematics related degrees or equivalent.
– Extensive experience in the same discipline, ie. Market risk/ALM management
Experience: 5 – 10 Years
Education: Bachelors Degree
