Job Description:
A leading investment bank in the Middle East has kicked off a Greenfield Murex 3.1 Project across FX, MM, FI and Interest Rate Derivatives with a plan to cover all asset classes in the foreseeable future. This initiative is a full front to back implementation, with Murex being the chosen enterprise solution for all trading activity.

There is a need to build up the project team in–house, with an immediate requirement for a Senior business analyst with extensive experience and in–depth knowledge of the Murex Technology platform
The candidate will work within the IT Department but will form part of a project team consisting of workstream leaders and business analysts, developers and consultants through the full lifecycle of the project.

Experience: 1 – 5 Years

Education: Bachelors Degree

Responsibilities:
Provide support for the IT Project manager/Lead
Validation of business reporting requirements from End Users and from Business unit aligned BAs ,
Responsible for the production of Reporting functional designs, for the identification of reporting extract data requirements and for liaison with FO and BO BAs as well as with the IT Reporting delivery teams
Key co–ordination and liaison from ITD with FO, MO and Operations work streams
Responsible for the development of the Systems Integration (SIT) and Data Conversion Test plan, creation of test cases and test scripts and for their execution before release of the system for final UAT testing
Responsible for the Cutover co–ordination and for the required Data quality improvements by specifying required Reconciliation to be performed prior to conversion
Will provide on the job Training to existing technology staff and transfer all necessary knowledge acquired during the life of the project to staff

Skills:

6+ years experience working on Murex the technical Implementation of Murex projects working both supporting functional deliveries as well as with technical configurations
Experience of Mx 3.x is highly desirable and experience of MLC would be advantageous
Knowledge of the Murex Data Model (MDM) and with configuring the MDM as well as with the Datamart with making schema updates and changes
Experience having worked for or at a top 10 global Investment banks in either North America or Europe as well as having worked in Emerging Markets
Knowledge of FX, MM and IRS products, Knowledge of both vanilla derivatives as well of the more structure products is required across the above asset classes
Significant and specific experience working on IT Projects implementing Transactions processing, Middle office P&L & Risk reporting as well with Settlements and Cash Management operations is required
Experience with structured test planning and execution, developing test scripts and expected results and carrying testing through to final go–live
Experience working on project Migrating from legacy systems to new platforms and with the Data quality and conversion testing required
Candidates will be required to have both undergraduate and post graduate qualifications
Candidates with experience working in the IT department of an Investment bank would be considered more favorably
