Strategy & Planning:

• Contributing to strategic planning and development as a member of executive team.
• To assess organizational performance against both the annual budget and company long-term strategy.
• Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the MD and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations.
• Assist in establishing yearly objectives and meeting agendas, and selecting and engaging outside consultants (auditors, financial institutions etc).
• Oversee long-term budgetary planning and costs management in alignment with company strategic plan.
• Other areas of potential responsibility: company insurance, administration, licensing, contracts and agreements, legal areas and activities, corporate level negotiations, major supplier/customer/partner relationships, regulatory bodies relationships and strategies, approvals and accreditation.

Finance:
• Develop and oversee a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting and ensure availability of funds as needed.
• Optimize the handling of banking relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions.
• Oversee financing strategies and activities conferring with MD and other department heads.
• Develop and oversee the budgeting process and the implementation of budgets so as to monitor progress and present financial metrics
• Develop and utilize forward-looking, predictive models and activity-based financial analyses to provide insight into the organization’s operations and business plans.

Accounting and Administration:
• Oversee the accounting department to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and functions and supervise the finance and accounting staff.
• Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
• Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting for board of directors
• Oversee the preparation and communication of weekly, monthly and annual financial including management reports.
• Oversee the payroll activity for staff
• Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and ensure a disaster recovery plan is in place.
• Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions
