Jobs in UAE – Our firm is a Category 2 regulated Financial Services provider for various investment banking activities both conventional & islamic in the MeNA region. You will be responsible for the running of the Legal, Compliance and Company Secretarial funcstion and your day to day duties will include:
1.Developing, implementing and administering all aspects of the Company’s compliance policies
2.Ensuring compliance with all of the Company’s polices and procedures, as well as all applicable legal and regulatory requirements and restrictions
3.Reporting regularly to the regulators & the Board on the state of compliance (including filing of compliance forms etc) for the Company
4.Making decisions on internal compliance queries, liaising with management and the regulators, as appropriate
5.Interpreting and advising on revised regulations, consultations papers and other documentations issued by the regulators
6.Oversight over money laundering and know-your-client compliance, including acting as MLRO
7.Being principal point of contact with the Regulators particularly the DFSA
8.Overseeing the training of staff in compliance matters and anti-money laundering training.
9.Providing legal advice to the company on various issues, including equity and collectives work as well as general corporate/commercial advisory work.
10.Possess exceptional presentation, leadership, interpersonal skills and display adaptability & flexibility.
11.Be able to multi task, organize and plan, work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
