Based in Abu Dhabi, this role will support the expansion of the company’s business across the MENA region, especially the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council).
1. Delivery of client work
- Advise clients on their reputation strategy. Requires strategic thinking (i.e.: not just tactical), business savvy, knowledge of how the GCC media operates (and a genuine interest in English and Arabic business news), ability to develop and convey key messages both to the client, and on the client’s behalf.
- Produce written materials (mostly in English) for crisis exercises and training
- Act as a TV interview journalist in both English and Arabic, and provide feedback to candidates, during media training
- Critically observe, and in time, facilitate, crisis exercises for clients
2. Winning new business
- Set-up and attend meetings with potential clients. Over time, would do such meetings alone. Requires tenacity and imagination to identify contact and persuade potential clients to meet us. Needs to be presentable, articulate, punctual etc.
- Draft proposal documents for clients (in English)
- If Dubai-based, lead on new business identification / conversion in Dubai.
- Whether based in Abu Dhabi or Dubai, take the lead on at least one sector (probably either FMCG/Retail or Financial Services)
- Would be expected to win c.30% of the work that s/he does. Bonus if new work won in one year matches or exceeds salary (separate from any other performance bonus).
Salary: 15k AED – 25k AED per month depending on experience.
