Jobs in UAE – Our client, an international food service supply chain company, is currently seeking a Director of Finance and Administration. Your primary objective will be to ensure the reliable administrative support to the operation of Group USA division with regards to finance aspects. Your key responsibilities will include Leading the Group USA division’s finance team in Dubai Coordinating overall P+L of contracts involving different business units (such as LOGCAP IV) Assuming overall responsibility for monthly closing according to group financial policies and yearly statutory closing according to US GAAP for the US legal entity and IFRS for other legal entities (e.g. UAE) Regular liaising with operational controllers in Afghanistan and other regions Managing the capital employed of the Group USA business unit (especially cash, receivables, inventory, fixed assets, payables) Setting-up adequate control mechanisms and adapting the internal processes to ensure maximum of efficiency and reliability Regular monthly analysis of the P+L and all balance sheet positions including reconciliation tasks Statutory closing according to local GAAP of dedicated legal entity based in USA and IFRS for other legal entities Liaising with US financial authorities and statutory auditors with regards to US regulations of the US based legal entity Preparing business plans and investment applications to corporate finance and requests for proposal to government authorities Suggesting improvements to corporate finance with regards to various financial aspects ERP system, policies and procedures, business dimensions etc. Regular visits of the operations in Afghanistan and elsewhere in order to stay in contact with the operational business Participating in meetings with other directors of finance and administration and taking-up special projects as assigned.
