Job Description:
Their client in the Middle East is looking for Senior Completions Engineer to join their team Offshore in the Middle East region. If you would like to become a key member of a team that faces strong technical challenges and you have experience as a Senior Completions Engineer in the Oil & Gas sector then this would be an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual.
– Typical duties for a Senior Completion Engineer will be:
– Discussing requirements for well completions with the customer, the owner, or operator of the well;
– Participating in the design of the well completion;
– Providing technical specifications and operating instructions for the equipment required.
– They will also be involved in the development and introduction of new technology.
– The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for developing concepts, evaluating and final selection of down hole completions suitable for installation in deep, hot and high pressured geothermal wells. You will develop the completions to a point where it can be handed over to the Well Operations Team to prepare and plan for installation.
– In particular, detailed completion tubular designs will be conducted.
Requirements:
– A Bachelors degree in a relevant subject.
– Proven 5 years experience as a Completions Engineer.
– Understanding of Well–cat as well as basic software such as Outlook, MS Excel and MS Word.
– Knowledge of SMS and legislation and a strong commitment to HSE and performance.
– Required technical understanding:
– Completions/ Workover materials and fluids selection.
– Sand face completion design assessment.
– Isolating multiple fractures.
– Risk Assessment of barrier (construct and operate).
– Wellhead and Xmas tree design.
– Perforating strategy
– Safety valve design considerations.
– Packer loadings and options.
– Tubing size, length, design and selection.
– Formation damage and stimulation.
– Scaling Assessment & sand production considerations.
– Erosion flow rate limits & Well kill options.
– Surface equipment pressure specs.
– Intervention & Reservoir monitoring philosophy and solutions.
– Production logging strategy.
Experience: 5 – 10 Years
Education: Bachelors Degree
