The Estimating Manager is responsible for providing estimating guidance to and ensure proper procedures are followed by the Abu Dhabi International Airport Expansion Program. This position will provide technical direction, oversight, and leadership to the Estimating team. The Estimating Manager supervises the daily activities and assigns and prioritizes the work assignments of the team.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Prepare conceptual estimate for budgetary purpose.

Reviews and evaluate estimate submitted by Design consultants.

Reviews and approves payment certificates for Parsons direct hire consultants and submits to Program Controls Director for approval.

Reviews and approves consultant recommendations of contractor payment applications to include verification of supporting documentation and submits to Program Controls Director for approval.

Reviews and approves entitlement and estimated order of magnitude to include substantiation of variation notifications and submits to Program Controls Director for approval.

Reviews and approves requirements for Parsons consultants and prepares Task Orders for approval of the Program Controls Director.

Reviews and approves merit and documentation of consultants variation notification recommendations for approval of the Program

Controls Director. Upon client approval, negotiates prices with consultants for final recommendation for issuance of variation order.

Reviews and approves variation orders for approval of the Program Controls Director. Upon client approval, advises consultant to negotiate with contractor and recommend final proposed value of variation.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Degree or diploma in quantity surveying, architecture, or engineering is a minimum requirement.

A minimum of 10 years experience is required..

Strong conceptual estimating experience required.

Experience working a large airport construction program or large capital improvement project is required.

Airport Terminal experience is highly desirable.

Effective oral and written communication skills are required.

Membership in professional quantity surveying society such as the

Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors is preferable, but is not mandatory.
