Job Description:
1. The Field Test Engineer will be responsible for supporting client in performing handset testing for live networks.
2. This person will also test, evaluate, and analyze various SW and HW builds/combinations for UMTS products to assess compliance, performance, Operator specifications and end user expectation (30%).
3. The person will also be responsible for managing a hub individually and coordinating with Local team in Dubai as well as in India.
4. Will also be responsible for supporting IPA test team.
5. The IPA Test team will test on live commercial networks with real uncontrolled noise environments. The IPA Team will design and execute test cases to ensure the products compliance to UMTS standards and customer specifications. 1
6. Responsible for performing manual testing on different mobile phones.
7. Role will have elements of functional, regression and performance testing.
8. Perform tests to assure appropriate Test coverage for his/her specific phone based on the given test cases.
9. Responsible for preparing and sending reports to various project leads globally.
10. Responsible for providing and sharing different technical trainings with team.
11. Responsible for ensuring that test tasks are completed from Field Test perspective on time.
12. Provide analysis & feedback about results to Team Lead.
13. Should be comfortable with traveling to different Middle East countries for testing purposes.
Experience: 1 – 5 Years
Education: Bachelors Degree
Skills:
1. Bachelors in Electronic and Communication or any equivalent field.
2. Excellent knowledge on Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
3. Highly motivated individual, able to set priorities and meet deadlines, and be a strong team player.
4. Basic Technical Knowledge of Cellular and PCS Systems.
5. Knowledge of GSM, WCDMA.
6. Should be able to perform analytic debugging.
7. Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills (English).
