Our client, an international food service supply chain company, is currently seeking a Financial Accountant. Reporting to the Director of Finance and Administration your primary role will be maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company's accounting entries. Your other job responsibilities would include Managing a team of accounting staff to perform all accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash and banking, inventory, fixed assets and credit control activities. Specifically 1. Monitoring the timing of invoice preparation 2. Monitoring overdues and collections efforts 3. Ensuring that stock accounting is performed according to accounting requirements Coordinating and managing the month end closing process from a financeaccounting aspect, including review and closing of accounts, building controls to ensure that revenues and expenses are captured accurately and in the correct accounting periods, reviewing and controlling of monthly accruals and prepayments Continually driving forward improvements in the month end closing schedule Being responsible for ensuring that all inter-company transactions are handled appropriately, including meeting regularly with counter parties Finalizing the month end entries prior to the preparation of Financial management reports by the Business Unit Controllers Managing the reconciliation of sub-ledger and balance sheet accounts relating to the specific Business Units Providing technical expertise on accounting issues Managing day to day accounting function of the division Liaising with external auditors and being responsible for audit queries Preparing the financial statements as per IFRS for responsible legal entities Performing any other tasks as assigned by DOF.
