Spot On PR is recruiting for a qualified / part qualified accountant to help support its growing communications and marketing business. Joining in an entry-level position and working closely with the agency’s client service teams, you would be helping the agency support its roster of multinational clients and ensure that its back-office processes run smoothly.

Successful candidates will already have a good all-round knowledge of accounting and will have relevant financial qualifications. It’s likely is that you also have a keen interest in business and that you already have some knowledge of how other company departments function, such as sales, operations or customer service.

Your new job role will include both accounting deskwork and data-entry work, plus communicating with internal teams, company suppliers and customers. You would report to both the managing director and the finance manager on a day-to-day basis, with considerable freedom to plan and manage your own work / responsibilities.

KEY CRITERIA

Financial Accountant – track record of successful bookkeeping, strong written and verbal communications skills, active interest in business, good administration skills, excellent computer skills and knowledge of accounting systems, motivation to work hard and acquire new skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

· Accounts payable (including communications with suppliers)

· Accounts receivable (including communications with clients)

· Coordinating accounting requests from client services teams

· Bookkeeping and data entry into Accpac accounts system

· Assist with preparing monthly management accounts

· Assist with monthly budgeting and forecasting

· Banking & general administration duties

· Petty cash

At Spot On, you will be expected to develop a sound knowledge of the company’s business, its client work, internal processes and policies, its accounts and its business objectives. As the company’s Financial Accountant, you will also be expect to grow into and expand your role in the company and ultimately play a key role in the business planning process.
