Your job responsibilities would include the following:
Financial Accounts:
Responsible for the smooth functioning of the Finance Department. The accounts are prepared on a forecast basis at flash level and final level once a month. A formal Trial Balance and General Ledger System are used for the monthly final accounts. Responsible for ensuring yearend audit requirements, such as inventories, cash counts, assets verifications, debtor’s circularisation, bank facility and balance confirmations are fulfilled and accounts are submitted for audit purposes as per group schedule.Internal Control :
To ensure that accurate and timely accounting and management information is made available at all times. The job holder should review and adapt to changing business requirements, the internal control measures systems and procedures used for processing of data.Systems :
In liaison with STS, develops specification for the systems enhancement or new systems identified, as required for the business operations. Ensures proper implementation and testing. Approving all authorizations on SAP. Keep abreast with current development in IT and implement effective systems that improve information and communications within the group and internationally.Management Information & Budgets:
Delivers accurate accounting and measurement of business performance through monthly operational and financial measurement. He ensures that results reported are consistent, and coordinate the statutory audit process. He ensures due diligence in all financial transactions, set up fiscal controls and comply with statutory and company authorizations and regulations.The job holder drives the process of short and long term business planning on a first principle basis, translate these plans into budget, measures and report on actual performance. Contributes heavily to the strategic planning process and assists other line managers to achieve their objectives and goals.Commercial Management:
Provides senior management guidance to other operating managers, he also advises on a large number of business issues affecting profitability. The incumbent also exercises judgement on day to day issues in lieu of the Senior General Manager. Evaluates the financial implications on business decisions such as stock ordering, product pricing, credit evaluation of new dealers, review of credit facilities, and release of goods. Takes care of corrective action in consultation with the team in case of deficiency. Interaction with AF Logistics in resolving logistical issues in conjunction with customs and other authorities. Profitability Initiatives:
The job holder strives to improve profitability and performance of the business through cost reduction exercise. He drives along with operational managers, identify and eliminate loss making activities and customers and better utilization of resources.Treasury Management:
Responsible to ensure effective management of working capital at minimum cost to the company, through effective Inventory, receivable and payable management.About You :
To apply for this position, you should meet the following requirements:
professional accounting degree such as CA / CIMA / ICWA / CPA / ACCA 8 – 10 years post qualification experience in a structured, progressive market oriented, computerized business organization, of which at least 5 years in a Managerial level. Excellent analytical, decision making skills, planning and organising skills Knowledge of accounting software package, preferably ERP such as SAPwill be an advantage.
