Role Summary/Purpose
Key finance position within MEA finance team, coordinating all aspects of financial planning and analysis. Driving controllership and process improvements to streamline current process. Supporting Africa region on key issues and owning the driving key finance projects across the region. Key contact in the region with Atlanta HQ. key contributor to ERP project roll out.
Essential Responsibilities
·Lead FP&A function for Power Services across Middle East and Africa region. – Own consolidation and planning of reporting cycles ( OP Plan, SII, Pre close, etc) – Drive and own key finance metrics across the MEA region ·Play key role during the ERP transition for the MEA region·Oversee closing activities ensuring timeliness, accuracy and rigor and maintaining adequate controls over financial records & systems· Support region FM & Region Executives in driving GE / Energy strategic and tactical initiatives · Drive simplification initiatives throughout finance reporting process · Balance sheet risk management. ·Drive distributed controllership and global compliance initiatives and process improvements· Prepare and monitor key finance metrics and variance analysis·Manage GBS relationship· Drive margin review process throughout out region, · Partner with the Region GM and Region MF to drive profitable growth & meet business targets. · Lead business reviews with HQ including reporting and analysis of Quarterly Estimates, Variance to Plan etc
Qualifications/Requirements
CPA/MBA or equivalent·6+ years of finance experience â prefer International experienceVery Strong controllership and general accounting experienceAbility to work in cross-functional environmentStrong interpersonal and communication skillsMotivated self starter with demonstrated GE leadership valuesWillingness to travelDemonstrate ability to manage several tasks simultaneously and promote teamwork
