Hotels in Dubai

I’m no stranger to traveling, in fact I think I could easily make a book about the places I have traveled, the benefits, the top destinations in the world, or the most relaxing places in the country. Recently I took a visit to Dubai which is located in the Middle East. I thought I would go ahead and share some of my favorite hotels located in this city, as well as some information you might enjoy! Dubai has a population of about 1,400,000 so it’s not incredibly large but big enough for you to find a few hundred different activities to choose from while staying there! Dubai is most known for its warm sun, beautiful sandy coastline and of course shopping! However, you might find a new activity or heck even a new addiction. For me it was taking in all the hotel constructions around the city, which by the way are absolutely amazing. If you get a chance search online for the Burj Al Arab hotel and get ready to be impressed! This hotel is truly magical, which is one of the reasons I’m making it number 1 on the list, ready?

Burj Al Arab

The very first thing you will notice when you see this building is that it resembles that of a sail on a boat. And you’re right, it was designed to resemble just that.
The height soars to around 321 meters or around 1,053 feet high.

The best time to view this hotel is at night when the light dances around the water and fire. Spectacular view! This is a very high class high luxury hotel, so be prepared to be pampered. Oh also, it was one of the places that got an award in 2007 from World Travel!
They have 8 restaurants, a health club & spa, water sports, swimming, golfing, a water park and some really beautiful sight seeing tours. This isn’t something you want to miss out on!

Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa

I have been here so I know how beautiful it is but even if you take a peek at the pictures available on their website or online you will be in utter awe. This place looks like something a king or a queen would stay at, but the prices aren’t that of a king or queen. If I can manage to afford it so can you. This resort in particular has around 113 rooms that are decorated in a rustic Arabic style, and you can pick from several different suites including Royal Suites, Executive Suites, Deluxe Suites, Superior and Deluxe Rooms – many with either a balcony or terrace. This resort also boasts seven different restaurants/lounges and as their website claims “1001 things to do.” between desert adventures, the swimming pool, golf outing, sightseeing, spa and even activities for your kids, you will never be bored on this vacation!

Fairmont Dubai

This one is a little glitzy and a lot of glamour. Not really a great place to take your kids, but more of a place you could go with a group of people, maybe a few friends or on a romantic trip with your sweetie.
I love this hotel simply because of the exterior alone, it looks like somewhat like a building we have in downtown Pittsburgh but the lights and the reflection of the lights off the building make it even more dramatic.
This hotel in particular has almost 400 rooms so yes it is quite busy and it is defined as hotel not a resort which may be a little but quieter. However, there is just as much to do here as anywhere else such as restaurants (11 included), spa, sight seeing, shopping, desert safari excursions, camel rides, boat trips along the Dubai Creek and outings to the pristine Jumeirah waterfront and much more!

Of course there are thousands of other places to go but these are three of the top ones I found that really intrigued me.
Of course a picture can speak a thousand words but there really isn’t anything else that compares to seeing these up close and personal, so who knows maybe the next time you’re in Dubai you will stop by and take a look for yourself.
Maybe you will be as amazed as I was! Also, the places I listed above were top range hotels/resorts (the only places I stay in) however, they do offer budget hotels, mid range hotels and speciality hotels/resorts in Dubai as well. Even though the top range resorts are affordable, don’t get scared in thinking you have to stay in these top end places, Dubai is just like any other city you visit around the world, you the buyer has many options to choose from! Have fun on your trip!
