In this role you will be responsible to supervise all inventory control functions, maintain continuous supply of product, maximise customer satisfaction, maintain harmonious relationships with Principals and achieve all budgeted objectives; in regard to Commercial Vehicle Parts. To assist and support the Inventory and Operations Manager and the Operations and Development Manager in reviewing, implementing policies, co-ordination of activities and system enhancements, of the division. Also, to ensure that tasks and duties are performed effectively and efficiently by self and through subordinates. Key Accountability:
To draft the annual Purchase and COS Budgets for national Commercial Parts activities, ie; Hino Truck, Toyota Forklift, Toyota Tow Tractor and BT MHE. To maintain harmonious relationships with customers, department, group, company, suppliers and customers to assist and ensure the company objectives are achieved. To inspire maximum motivation and efficiency, identify training and development needs, to ensure the company employ fulfilled, stimulated and knowledgeable people. To ensure that the stock replenishment systems used by the company are performing accurately and items / quantities processed by the department executives / branches are correct. To ensure that Bulk and Special Orders are in compliance with supplier standards and guidelines. To ensure that accurate purchase conditions are maintained in the system at all times to ensure accurate costing of stocks. To manage and control, in support of the Inventory and Operations Manager and the Operations and Development Manager, the national Commercial Parts Inventory so as to promote maximum customer service satisfaction, profitability to the company and at minimum stocking costs, (within budget). To assist AFM Parts Branches in achieving maximum sales with minimum stock, through lead time optimisation, accurate inventory and sell one / buy one, daily replenishment. To facilitate an environment within the department that actively pursues and stimulates a continuous improvement philosophy. To assist and advise Parts Branch personnel on Parts technical issues. To assist Parts Branch personnel with Parts Catalogue interpretation. To ensure that AFM Parts deploy fleet-oriented personnel at all strategic commercial vehicle locations. To ensure that an optimum commercial Parts skill and knowledge is maintained at all AFM commercial vehicle locations. To identify the needs and develop training courses for AFM Commercial Parts personnel. Periodically, the job holder may be required to travel overseas to attend specific training and/or meetings with suppliers and/or service providers. To develop and impart knowledge obtained overseas and/or locally to AFM Parts personnel. To initiate and/or attend Teketsu workgroups and develop kaizen activities utilising the PDCA strategy.
