Jobs in UAE: 1) Outward Market Activities

- Arrange meetings and establish open dialogue with job sites and job search providers in the market (e.g. news papers, recruitment agencies)

- On board public sector entities to JOBS ABU DHABI

- Implement strategy for private sector and semi-private sector entities and approach/onboard selected entities

- Develop and launch an online marketing campaigns

- Seek and respond to speaking opportunities to introduce and promote the site across the Emirate and abroad (a special focus should be on university/educational institutions)

- Continue to drive new and innovative ways for marketing both traditional and online

- Respond to new requests generated by the market place and establish a standardized way to deal with them

- Identify and participate in job fairs both on a national and regional level

- Identify/seek collaboration opportunities with other job sites, government/private entities partners

20 Website Development Activities

- Add guidance and additional features to JOBS ABU DHABI to make it more intuitive and user friendly

- Enhance search and post options on JOBS ABU DHABI based on feedback from market place

- Enhance data base by incorporating public and private sector existing data bases (e.g. Emiratization council)

- Evaluate existing back engine for JOBS ABU DHABI and consider other virtual job market engines (e.g. Siemens) or collaborating with other existing job sites (e.g. Monster)

- Enhance features to JOBS ABU DHABI e.g. spell check for resume uploads

- Develop performance management metrics and reports with technology service providers

- Identify additional service offerings that may enhance our value proposition e.g. resume development, career coaching

- Enhance relevant content on the site to increase interest and drive traffic. This will include purchased content as well as in some cases self generated content

- Develop awards e.g. employer of the year in Abu Dhabi rankings that will allow employers and job seekers to be interactive through the site

- Collaborate with market place to publish thought leadership e.g. “Where the Jobs are and Will Be” containing hiring projections for the Government work force the next several years

3) Governance Activities

- Identify and finalize staffing needs for JOBS ABU DHABI and assist in recruiting efforts

- Train identified staff on JOBS ABU DHABI activities

- Formalize relationship with third party providers

- Formalize processes for responding to government/private entity requests

- Formalize operating procedures for JOBS ABU DHABI which include SLA for outsourced services

- Establish a network of partners to enhance JOBS ABU DHABI delivery capabilities e.g. regular database feeds to the JOBS ABU DHABI database

- Increase integration and collaboration with ADGEs to better track JOBS ABU DHABI fulfillment of vacancies and provide better tracking of applications to job seekers

- Collaborate with the call center to enhance support activities for JOBS ABU DHABI and consider offering a phone service with JOBS ABU DHABI

- Seek standardization of job titles and levels across government entities

Skills

- Excellent oral and written English language skills; Arabic is an advantage

- Knowledge of recruiting and HR processes

- High flexibility regarding working times and resource planning ad hoc late night (including weekend availability)

– Knowledge concerning cyber business in general with online recruiting knowledge a plus

- Good Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

- Entrepreneurial, creative and self motivated skills

- Understanding of Abu Dhabi’s market place

- Background regarding starting and growing new initiatives/companies

- Background in internet business/E-Commerce
