The Librarian reports to the Supervisor of Learning Resource Services and works closely with other members of the LRS team. This new position has been created to assist with the increasing demand for centralized library services provided to the sixteen colleges of the HCT.
The incumbent will assist the Acquisitions Librarian with ordering, processing and tracking, receiving, invoicing, and maintaining fund expenditures and statistics. Depending upon specific need, skills, and interests, the successful candidate will also assist in one or more of the following areas: original cataloging, authority control, managing electronic resources, database maintenance and Millennium circulation processes. As a member of the LRS team, the position assists in the development and review of procedures and workflows for technical services operations, provides input in the adoption of new technologies, and conducts training to library staff in the use of Millennium.
The succesfull person should work collaboratively with individuals and teams and be able to multitask and manage details.
