We are currently looking to recruit a Maintenance Manager to work from our Dubai base operations. Reporting to the Business Sector Manager of Transport you will be responsible to ensure cost effective, continuous and safe operation of the fleet within the organization.In this role you will be responsible for:
Scheduling of maintenance and repairs for all AF Logistics vehicles and MHE through in-house vendors as far as possible.Ensuring detailed and accurate hard-copy records of all vehicle R&M history is maintained for easy reference and will further use this resource to analyse and report on relevant trends, with recommendations and actions on how to improve costs and efficiency.Ensuring all Orders (LPOs) generated are in the SAP system, or are captured through acceptable Internal Work OrdersBeing the direct contact point for all accident-related or break-down situations and will attend to the same immediately with regards to assisting the driver involved and in arranging pick-up of the vehicle (including Cross-Border incidents)Arranging for all vehicle servicing & repair quotations and seek the approval of the respective business sector authority before commencement of the jobProactively planning & scheduling all service jobs, co-ordinating activities in such a way as to minimise disruption to the respective business. Service schedules for following week issued every Thursday.Performing random checks on vehicles to ensure that due care & attention is being paid to them by the drivers to ensure the on-going safe operation of the sameAdvising the drivers & relevant staff within the various business sectors of current Best Practise with regards to vehicle maintenanceVisiting vendors and workshops to ensure that the highest levels of work and maintenance are being carried out. Inspecting vehicles for quality of work and roadworthiness after major maintenance or accident repairs.Ensuring adherence of the business and the Vendors/Workshops to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as set-out by the Transport Business Sector Manager (BSM), and to report any deviations in the same to the BSM in a proactive and timely manner. Monitoring fuel consumption on a daily basis, reporting on trends and acting on variances.Scheduling staff transport routes in the most economic and effective way.Keeping auditable records of all tyres and do monthly scrap analysis.Keeping auditable stock records of all tyre sizes on rims ready for fitting.
