Prepare / Review the technical requirements for the packages such as data sheets, specifications, RFQ, technical bid evaluation, PR etc.
Responsible for ensuring multidiscipline’s review of engineering and vendor documents are carried out in timely manner and comments are reasonable and practical. Reviews and resolves Client comments.
Visits Vendor’s works on a regular basis to ensure engineering and production activities are on schedule.
Commercially aware – understands potential commercial implications, particularly with respect to requirements for PO compliance and highlights any such implications to the Buyer/ Package Manager.
Attends FAT at Vendor works as primary focal point and witness for JRM, to ensure testing is carried out in accordance with approved procedures and that performance is in line with acceptable criteria.
Co-ordinate all interfaces points between the package and the rest of the project team covering inspection, fabrication, mechanical completion etc.
Interfaces with assigned Expeditor as necessary to maintain delivery schedules, working with Vendor and expeditor (and Buyer) to identify recovery actions.
Interfaces with Production Engineers and Fabrication Supervision to ensure equipment is handled and installed as anticipated.
Interfaces with Mechanical Completions Engineer and Vendor / Vendor rep as necessary to enable successful pre-commissioning of equipment in position.
