Job Description:
– Respond to the physical demands such as lifting and handling of physically and cognitively impaired patients and tolerate exposure to heat and high humidity in the hydrotherapy area.
– Accept and use constructive criticism for personal and professional growth.
– Follow safe work practices and conform to occupational health and safety legislation when handling machinery, tools and hazardous substances.
– Supports and delivers quality patient safety standards with the health authority.
– Responsible for contributing to the achievement of the health authoritys accreditation standards.
– Age Not more than 35 years
– It is unlawful to live and work in Canada without a Valid work permit.
– Please note that this position is on work permit and it is the candidate who will have to bear his work permit expenses and only such candidates who are in a position to spend need respond.
Experience: 1 – 5 Years
Education: Bachelors Degree
Responsibilities:
The Physiotherapy Assistant is an active member of the patient care team who is responsible for performing routine tasks assigned by a Physiotherapist. Included in these responsibilities is the provision of treatment for both outpatients and inpatients directed by a Physiotherapist, departmental and equipment maintenance and clerical functions as required
Skills:
– They are seeking the services of an Assistant Physiotherapist to work in Alberta, Canada.
– Successful completion of academic Grade XII or equivalent required.
– Physiotherapy Assistant Certificate required.
– Previous experience with patient handling required.
– Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position.
– Demonstrated competence in electronic communication, Microsoft word and computer knowledge/experience required.
– Must have excellent communication, organization, team work skills and strict adherence to patient confidentiality.
– Ability to work independently, take initiative and to exercise independent judgment within scope of practice.
– High ethical standards and integrity; works cooperatively and respectfully with others to further the goals of the client and organization by participating effectively as a team member, valuing and respecting individual contributions and sharing knowledge, experience and accountability for team efforts.
