Job Description:
– The Key Account Manager is responsible for creating and managing the customer plans and sales for all Foodservice customers in the Middle East region.
– Provides direct account interaction for specific accounts in order to understand the customer needs, deliver value added programs, and develop a tactical selling strategy. Implements the strategy with the customer, and measures the success of the tactics involved within the strategy.
– Directs the foodservice sales effort related to Key accounts in the Middle East region.
– Achieves all sales objectives including volume, profit and expenses associated with the selling of foodservice products to wholesalers, multi–unit restaurant operators and other key accounts within the foodservice sector.
– Manages field contact and customer relationships in the Middle East region.
– Develop relationships with wholesalers day to day contacts across different functions i.e. sales force, marketing, purchase, supply–chain, warehouse, etc. that positions the company as a preferred supplier.
– Utilizing a solid culinary knowledge, to establish relationships with foodservice wholesalers and multi–unit restaurant operators to create and support recipe creation and new menu implementation.
– Anticipate customer specific issues and resolve them effectively involving cross– functional resources.
– Accountable for financial management, including budgets, promotions, payments, etc.
– Proactively utilizes and manages appropriate resources, internally and externally, that achieves both the companys as well as the customers goals.

Experience: 1 – 5 Years

Education: Bachelors Degree

Responsibilities:
– Key Account Manager in the food sector

Skills:

– Knowledge of the food sector in the Gulf Region
– This position requires a Bachelors Degree and minimally 4–6 years of experience within the Foodservice sector; gained in the sales department in the food industry, foodservice wholesaler or restaurant operator.
– Including at least 2 years direct selling experience (ideally with large national account) and preferably 2 years creative products applications experience.
Strong general business capabilities and analytical skills acquired.
– The person must possess solid intercultural, interpersonal and team working skills, and be excellent verbal and written communication skills.
– Proficient in outlook, power point, excel and word.
– The company language is English.
– For this position as Key account manager it would be a clear advantage to be fluent in Arabic and with one of the following certifications: Certified Chef, Certified Executive Chef or Certified Research Chef.
