The Sales Support Engineer is the senior in charge of providing the Company Sales Force with the technological know-how needed and to develop and supervise its sales technical information & activities as well as closing deals with the company’s show room visitors & tenders. He/she is also responsible of ensuring the adequate technical support to the Company’s Clients.
DETAILED TASKS:
Bids:
• Bid Evaluation: Prepare & Review the tenders, approve them and propose to the General Manager the tenders to bid for.
• Bid Preparation: Based on the cost calculations prepared by the Technical Manager, and the competition’s data provided by the Sales Manager, establish the offer pricing, and submit it to the General Manager for approval and signature.
• Bid Submission & negotiation: Assist the General Manager in the technical negotiation of the bid.
Sales Issues:
• Advertising. Preparing and approving technical leaflets and brochures.
• Sales Activity: Review the technical data and the drawings prepared by the Sales Force, and approve the technical aspect of the offer. Assist the Sales Manager in preparing and approving quotations for inquiries.
• Returns of Goods: Validate technically the goods to be returned to the Company.
• Sales Calls: Cater for & Follow up all the customer inquiries by telephone calls.
• Sales Records: Managing and keeping all the sales force records and files.
• Showroom Visitors: Finalize and complete the deals with the show room visitors under the supervision of the Sales Manager.
• Sales Delivery: Follow up sales commissioning & delivery till it reaches the clients.
• Exhibitions: Assist the Sales Manager in the preparation and participation in general exhibitions.
• Special/Strategic Deals: Assist the Sales Manager in studying and obtaining these Special and/or Strategic Deals.
• Clients’ Claims & Complaints: Receive, check, approve, follow up & filing customer complaints forms.
