The Schedule Manager will be responsible for managing the program-wide planning/ scheduling activities for a major airport program in the UAE. Based on general guidance, objectives and some specific work assignments provided from the Program Controls Manager, develop the capability and supervises the performance for all program planning/scheduling analysis and reporting and project progress evaluation. Acts as advisor to project management on company policies and procedures as well as industry recognized best practices for planning and scheduling.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Recruits, trains and supervises a staff qualified to analyze and schedule activities pertinent to the design and construction of projects.

Develops policies and procedures to improve the adequacy and efficiency of the planning and scheduling activities.

Provides project management consultation on factors affecting the timely completion of projects.

Performs special analysis for resource loading and performance progress.

Frequent communication with client and upper level management.

Analyzes drawings, specifications and statements of work in the preparation of activity networks for project resource planning and scheduling.

Prepares program master schedule and performs critical path analysis.

Prepares plans and schedules, status reports and performance evaluations.

Analyzes progress reports against the schedule.

Develops and maintains manpower estimates, equipment and material delivery requirements.

Monitors material status reports against construction schedules and reviews them with procurement and construction groups.

Maintains liaison with the project and the field for schedule revision and update.

Supports project management in accomplishing project status review and performance control.

Coordinates, supervises and checks the work of those scheduling personnel assigned to projects under his/her direction.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

B.S. degree in an engineering discipline is preferred.

10+ year’s experience planning and scheduling for both construction and engineering.

Strong knowledge of Primavera products- P6 in particular

Experience working a large airport construction program is required.

Airport Terminal experience is highly desirable

Effective oral and written communication skills are required.
