Jobs in UAE – To provide competent secretarial and administrative support to partner(s) and fee earner(s).
To assist lawyers with the delivery of the firm’s legal advice and quality service to clients and to assist with the smooth running of the department.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
• Creating and amending documents, correspondence and e-mails, using audio dictation and manuscripts.
• A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is required, often having to work to tight deadlines.
• Opening new files on electronic system, together with preparation of case registration, client identification forms.
• Scheduling meetings; taking calls from clients in case handlers’ absence;
• At all times presenting a professional and courteous image to our clients and other outside parties.
• To liaise with members of other departments, and other offices, to follow up on queries from case handlers, e.g. travel arrangements, billing information, documents sent for translation, filing, etc.
• Make travel and hotel bookings.
• Make arrangement for attendance at seminars and producing presentations for seminars.
• Update and maintain the lawyer’s client list.
• Electronic filing of e-mails and documents (i.e. exporting).
• Maintain physical files working closely with other secretaries as a team.
• Electronic track changes for document comparisons.
• Assist with entering time and closing entries on the firm’s time recording system.
• Research on the internet and other information sources.
• Ad hoc duties as may be required from time to time.
