Job Purpose and Scope
Designs, participates and provide expert technical advice on all activities related to acquisition, processing, reprocessing and analysis of seismic data. Includes designing 1D, 2D, 3D and 4D seismic programs, reviewing and auditing field testing programs for surveys and endorsing the technical capabilities of geophysical field parties. Verifies the technical integrity of processing and reprocessing testing programs and the resulting data of seismic surveys to ensure quality of processed data. Evaluates the technical capabilities of service companies and advises on their qualifications. Participates in the preparation of tenders documents and contract packages for seismic data acquisition/processing. Advises other specialists on the integration of geophysical input into multi-disciplinary studies.
The post holder is accountable for the technical integrity of acquired, processed and analyzed seismic survey data.
