Jobs in UAE – To assist the Wholesale Bank business in structuring and documenting financial market transactions in the Middle-East, Pakistan and Africa. To provide continuing support to the Wholesale Bank financial market business post execution.

To promote the culture and oversee the practice of legal risk management within applicable legal and regulatory requirements in the Middle-East, Pakistan and Africa.

To ensure that the Wholesale Bank financial market business and support functions in the Middle-East, Pakistan and Africa operate in accordance with all legal and regulatory requirements and all Group standards of conduct, so as to protect the reputation of the Bank.
To provide legal advice in connection with a variety of Emerging Markets transactions booked in or advised from the Middle-East, Pakistan and Africa, within the boundaries of the Wholesale Bank financial market business and mainly:

- Rates/FX trading and structured derivative transactions (e.g. project finance hedging).
- Commodities trading and structured commodity derivative transactions
- Credit trading and structured credit derivative transactions
- Equities trading and structured equity derivative transactions

Most transactions will be OTC but a fair amount will be securitized.

To provide legal advice to ISDA negotiators with the negotiation of ISDA and other Master documentation to be entered into with counterparties incorporated in the Middle-East, Pakistan and Africa
To provide legal advice in the context of non-transactional support (eg dispute resolution or restructurings) to the Wholesale Bank financial market business in the Middle-East, Pakistan and Africa.
To provide training materials and deliver training as needed to the Wholesale Bank business and support functions.
