Job Location: Abu Dhabi
Job purpose:
•Manages investment portfolio activities and performance.
•Evaluates, shortlists and documents rationale for new investment proposals. •Implements and maintains asset allocation strategy.
•Maintains investment manager relations.
Key Accountabilities
•Generates regular portfolio valuation by obtaining regular NAVs, stock prices, bond prices, etc to track ongoing portfolio valuation.
•Monitors investment portfolio performance and the performance of manager portfolio funds and individual investments by reviewing the latest external investment reports to provide regular updates on investment performance.
•Prepares investment cases and generates investment committee reports on new investment proposals covering relevant aspects of investment opportunities.
•Oversees the investment research activity performed by financial analysts from reliable sources and the generation of periodic reports on various sectors, assets and geographies and where requested on specific investment subjects.
•Oversees the generation of detailed analysis on asset allocation, risk, return and performance benchmarking by running investment models and tools.
•Conducts active risk management of portfolio investments by monitoring adherence with asset allocation strategy and ensuring compliance with investment policies and procedures.
•Manages portfolio administration activities.
•Implements and ensures upgrading of appropriate IT ERP that enables active asset management and reporting of investment portfolio assets.
Qualification
•Bachelor degree in Finance / Economics and certification as a Chartered Financial Analyst.
•Major course work in economics, portfolio theory and actuarial analysis
Experience
•10-12 years of experience out of which 3-5 years at senior management level in a public fund, endowment, foundation, pension fund, or investment management firm demonstrating a track record of managing a wide range of asset classes i.e. public equity, fixed income, private equity and hedge funds.
