Jobs in UAE – A Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for continuous coordination with other Engineers and Lead Engineers (LEs) and the quality control (QC) team. If qualified and licensed, they will sign and seal the design documents as required by law. If not licensed or qualified, they will receive the necessary direction from the QC reviewer for their respective technology, and the QC reviewer will be in responsible charge under the law. The SME will often be required to coordinate with clients, sub consultants and other inter company offices on matters associated with the mechanical discipline. The SME will sometimes be required to support the sales efforts for projects for which he/she is proposed.

In partnership with the Design Manager develop the scope and budget as needed to address the client’s design needs.
Monitor budget performance and performance of any sub consultants performing mechanical work
Responsible for successful completion of work in the mechanical discipline for investigations, studies and designs for complex projects with multiple phases and/or contracts. (Such projects would be undertaken by multi discipline technical team possibly in multiple locations, and sometimes using subcontractors.)
Understand and contribute to CH2M HILL’s best practices for mechanical engineering
Maintain working relationships with Health and Safety coordinator and theatre project controls staff
Reports to project Design Manager on projects and Engineering Manager
