Job Description:
– They are seeking the services of a Sr. Standards Engineer.
– To maintain on regular basis Casco.
– Engineering standards, codes of practices, specifications and Standard Drawings related to all disciplines.
– To work closely with engineering disciplines and consultants to develop exclusive company designated engineering standards in areas where published standards are considered inadequate.
– To Keep up–to–date information regarding International Industry Standards and liaise with the disciplines for evaluation and inclusion in the DGS.
– To liaise with the concerned discipline(s) for the issue of Specifications Change Requests (SCR) necessary for DGS update.
– To Maintain a register & respective records of all Design deviation authorizations (DCA) issued by Gasco Projects, categorize them and liaise with the respective discipline(s) for inclusion of applicable changes in the DGS.
– To keep a register of all “Lessons Learned” issued by end users and liaise with the respective discipline(s) for inclusion of applicable changes in the DGS.
Experience: 10+ Years
Education: Bachelors Degree
Responsibilities:
– They are seeking the services of a Sr. Standards Engineer.
– The Senior Standards Engineer (TSS/31/32/33) is part of the Systems & Standards Department (TSS) and reports to the Principal Standards Engineer (TSS/3).
– The operability and maintainability of gas plants rely heavily on the up to date international standards and codes of practices.
– Furthermore, modifications, enhancement, and new projects within the plants are performed utilizing guidelines of such standards and codes.
– GASCO is a leading company in the Gas sector with its world–class availability and reliability records which is attributed to the implementation of comprehensive set of standards and best practices.
– GASCO is a fast growing company as multibillion projects are currently under evaluation / construction.
– Latest international standards are being reviewed to ensure compatibility for implementation on these projects.
– This requires extensive search of many international standards such as the API, the British standards and the Shell DEPs and others to assess the suitability. Many company standards are outdated and therefore it is a challenge for the jobholder to co–ordinate with the appropriate engineers to replace the old standards with updated versions containing all identified updates and to keep the standards always updated in line with new industry developments.
Skills:
1) B.SC. In an engineering discipline (preferably mechanical) 15 years experience in oil&gas/petrochemical plants
2) 10 years experience shall be in the application of design standards and codes with various engineering disciplines in oil & gas projects.
3) Engineering design compliance experience preferred.
4) Knowledge of international codes, standards & specifications.
5) Good knowledge of English language.
6) High level of Computer skills.
7) Arabic–Very Good.
