Jobs in UAE – Our client, a governmental organization is seeking a very experienced Senior Internal Audit Manager in the Upstream and Downstream Oil and Gas Industry to join its dynamic team in Abu Dhabi with the gravitas and relevant experience to succeed when in discussions with individuals at Head of Function level with many years of directly relevant experience. The successful candidate will have worked in at least one of the major Oil and Gas companies and will be responsible for the Internal Audit offerings of the Authority to their client base that includes some of the UAE’s largest organizations in the energy sector.
Responsibilities:
• Liaise with and provide assistance to external auditors, as appropriate.
• Examine accounting systems to determine their integrity and adequacy.
• Ensure the adequacy and effectiveness of the system of internal controls.
• Identify various potential risks and recommend suggestions to mitigate risks.
• Identify and report non-compliances and develop corrective as well as preventive procedures.
Requirements:
• At least 7 years of Upstream and Downstream Oil and Gas Industry managerial internal audit experience in the energy industry or big four audit firm, in the GCC.
• Must have direct exposure at the highest level of energy organizations and would be looking at the effectiveness of the Internal Audit functions.
• University degree in Finance or Accounts, preferably a professional Accounting and Certified Internal Audit qualification.
• Big 4 Firm experience is an advantage, as is Arabic, but not essential.
