Reporting to Vice President, Drilling & Completions

Roles & Responsibilities

 Provide technical planning and implementation of completion engineering activities ensuring that wells are designed and completed in a safe, cost effective, and an environmentally responsible manner.
 Serve as a core member of the Wells Planning Team to design and implement optimum horizontal completions for the Shah Gas Development program.
 Prepare detailed completion procedures, stimulation procedures, unloading and flowback procedures, and contingency plans for operations.
 Prepare AFE cost estimates and regulatory permit requests.
 Implement quality control inspections and testing procedures for downhole equipment to be utilized in completion and testing operations.
 Pre-qualify contractors and service providers for tendering of completion and stimulation services.
 Prepare technical scopes of work in support of the tendering processes for the selection of completion and stimulation services contractors.
 Participate in the technical and commercial bid evaluations for completion support services.
 Generate material specifications and procurement scheduling for completion and stimulation operations.
 Provide daily support to completion, stimulation, and well cleanup operations to ensure safe and efficient results, and to ensure completion integrity prior to placing wells on production.
 Develop and track completion metrics to drive high-quality and cost effective completions.
 Work closely with peers and contractors to improve completion implementation performance.
 Conduct After-Action-Reviews to access overall performance of service contractors and completion / stimulation procedures being implemented.
 Develop the operating limits for each completion in conjunction with the production and reservoir engineers.
 Support and adhere to the project timeline including coordinating peer reviews and post audits.
 Ensure that all corporate and Joint Venture policies and practices are maintained and adhered to.
 Ensure that all in-country safety, regulatory, and environmental guidelines are followed.
 Provide leadership in multi-discipline teams.

Key Targets – 2009

 Leading role in contracting and procurement activities for completion support services.
 Progress completion planning and operational processes and procedures.
 Interface with the subsurface team to identify and mitigate completion risks around stimulation and completion efficiency.
