- Develop and implement short- and long-term procurement strategies designed to reduce costs and improve quality and service while meeting Company goals and objectives.
- Establish and maintain Supplier databases and administering assigned categories and product codes.
- Negotiate with Suppliers for the lowest costs and incentives and analyze market price and product mix checks for competitiveness.
- Perform the necessary Logistics with clearing agents and local customs authority for inbound orders/shipments as required.
- Through internal and external periodic feedback procedures, measure effectiveness of operations, including customer satisfaction, and propose methods for continuous improvement.
- Anticipate Company needs and requirements by keeping abreast of market and product trends and developments.
- Coordinate the achievement of cost savings through Supplier selections and review, develop favorable supply chain and delivery and billing problems.
- Attend site meetings as needed to coordinate procurement requirements.
- Coordinate with departmental managers and personnel, by ensuring that appropriate authorizations and documentation are obtained for procurement activities.
- Coordinate with Accounts on the payments to suppliers and sub-contractors in line with purchase order contract conditions.
- Participate in the designing and utilization of Procurement administrative systems by ensuring maximum effectiveness; keeping abreast of system enhancements/potentials and recommending changes as appropriate.
- Oversee operating budget for various purchases and is accountable for team and individual performance and professional development within the Procurement team in accordance with Company guidelines,
- Provide administrative support to colleagues in the procurement team
- Perform other related duties as required.
