- The primary purpose of the position is to lead a team of steel fabrication and maintain harmonious working relationships.
- To interpret instructions and related information into meaningful and accurate work directives, drawings and guidelines.

Essential functions of the job include:

- Supervises activities of workers engaged in welding and cutting of steel products and structures, such as auto, ship components, pipes, boilers, and mobile homes.
- Monitor the workmanship and performance of subordinates.
- Train and provide vocational development of subordinates.
- Estimate and order materials required for each job order.
- Review accuracy of work reports.
- Recommend improvements and revisions to current maintenance procedures.
- Monitor the workmanship and performance of subordinates by inspecting projects assigned to and completed by them.
- Applying knowledge of welding and cutting techniques
-Analyzes work orders and blueprints to determine need for supplies and sequence of operations required.
Tracks, orders, and receives materials through direct or indirect contact with vendors.
- Maintains and processes inventory transaction records including raw materials issues, work in process, and finished goods.
- Works effectively with other LTC sections to prioritize and ensure efficient processes are in place.

- Utilizing computer aided designs to smoothen and improve the production process.
- Keeping breakdowns to the minimum.
- Job completed on time.
- Good knowledge of equipment history.
- Carrying out regular repairs to minimize equipment/ operations down time.

- Equipment/plant is available and ready for commissioning on time.
- Positive personality that could cope with working staff.
