- The primary purpose of the position is to lead turning workshop team and maintain harmonious working relationships.
- Supervise activities of machine operators engaged in layout and machining operations to produce various components and directing staff who runs conventionally and numerically controlled machines (turning, milling, drilling, etc).
- Interpret instructions and information into meaningful work.
- Check and sign all turning work orders.
- Supervise and coordinate training activities
- Maintain and enforce a safe working environment.
- Maintain client satisfaction.

Essential functions of the job include:

- Schedule, assign, plan and supervise the work of turning workshop performing a variety of turning projects.
- Program, set up, and operate CNC and manual machining centers, lathes, drill presses, surface grinders, and other production equipments.
- Plan and develop work schedules, equipment usage schedules, priority of turning expenditures.
- Develop and fabricates fixturing for machining of parts.
- interpret drawings and specifications, production schedules and assigns work orders and duties to the machine operators
- Monitor the acquisition and use of materials.
- Train or inform employees of new work methods or procedures, changes in safety regulations and work policies.
- Estimate, monitor and control time, cost, and type of supplies required for projects; machining & tooling
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with blueprints, specifications, instructions of LTC policies.
- Conduct periodic inspections of machines to determine repair needs.
- Establish and coordinate programs of preventive maintenance.
- Prepare reports and analyses, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the turning work described herein.
- Implement training and testing program to ensure skill sets are kept current.
