Job Objective / Purpose:
To achieve and exceed budgeted sales and contribute effectively in meeting gross margin targets of the Division Principal Accountabilities (Essential Functions):
Ensures sales through tracking of current customer base requirements for repeal sales potential Explores and converts new business opportunities that result in increased revenue and profit for the Division Ensures that accurate information on competitors is presented to the Manager, thereby supporting the development of strategies that are aimed at increasing market share Ensures that customer needs are understood and fulfills customer needs with highest quality standards for total satisfactionJob Content:
Provides support to the Division Manager for the preparation of annual budget and business proposals, which highlight major activities planned for achieving set targets. Executes these plans and periodically reviews them to enable the division to meet or exceed set targets Analyses market information on product pricing to formulate appropriate prices / quotations for orders to meet gross margin and profit requirements as well as the customer’s requirement Identifies potential customers, understands their business requirements and presents the company’s products and services in a manner that convinces the customer to place orders Gathers and analyses market information on competitor activities to ensure the Divisions competitive edge in product, pricing, services and systems
