Jobs in UAE – This position is responsible for leading the procurement function by providing overall strategic direction, ensuring it is aligned to overall strategy, usher best of class practices and business unit specific requirements. The position is required to take overall accountability for managing the purchase of goods, participating in the negotiations of contract terms and prices, selecting vendors and ensuring adherence to good procurement practice
1-To develop and implement the procurement strategy aligned with corporate and operating entities’ objectives designed to provide competitive advantage in this area
2-To advise entities on structuring of their procurement organization befitting their scale and complexity
3-To guide the group entities’ procurement function for increased effectiveness and efficiencies, process rationalization inclusive
4-To undertake operational leadership activities such as reviewing entity’s procurement revenue and capex budgets, manpower plans and procurement related business risks
5-To guide entities procurement team achieve quality standards, adopt best of class practices and benchmark their KPI’s
6-To establish and enforce adequate internal controls to ensure procurement activities across the group are conducted in compliance with corporate and statutory requirements
7-To assist develop service level agreements for entity procurement function with rest entity teams and corporate teams
8-To lead the development and implementation of costs savings initiatives
9-To foster continuous training environment and help the entity procurement teams achieve best of class ability
10-To lead E procurement initiatives
11-To create and maintain mutually beneficial long-term partnerships with suppliers, fostering feedback and continuous improvement
12-To represent procurement within the corporate support services management structure and externally as required
13-To assist group entities’ team for specific large transactions’ negotiation
