PURPOSE:
Supervise any downhole operations carried out in any of the 300 wells, (producer injector or observation) on the Upper Zakum field, may assist the Senior Supervisor to coordinate those operations at field level on a temporary basis.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Supervise main wireline operations carried out by contractor teams including:
• Changing and maintaining sub-subface safety valves to ensure these are operating effectively.
• Running bottom hole pressure recorders for bottom hole closed pressure (BHCIP) and pressure build up (PBU), and passing this information to Petroleum Development in Abu Dhabi.
• Preparing wells for and returning them to a productive status following production logging, stimulations, workovers /drillings, corrosion monitoring programmes, ensuring operational effectiveness.
• Collect bottom hole samples
• Running plugs or opening sliding sleeves
• Pressure gradient and temperature surveys.
• Fishing and other activities.
2. Prepare schedules for daily, weekly and monthly work programmes of crews and supervise contractors in the quality and timeliness of their performance.
3. Ensure that down hole operations are conducted at a minimum cost consistent with safety and overall efficiency and in accordance with standard wire line instructions.
4. Plan and supervise the transfer of equipment between wellhead platforms by under slung moves.
5. Supervise the logistical movements of contractor crew between site and Abu Dhabi.
