A key role within Topaz Fabrication & Construction- Onshore operations management team responsible for independently leading and motivating a workshop team of 300 people with accountability for operations, production, people management, shop floor activities, continuous improvement, growth and costs.
15-20 years of overall experience in Fabrication Shops dealing with pressure vessels, tanks, piping etc. of which 3 years should be in a management capacity as a head of department for workshop for looking after the production and operations of all the fabrication activites for various oil and gas projects with additional responsibility of Business Development and client interfacing.
Key Responsibilities
•Accountable for all workshop activities as a profit centre
•Accountable for revenue and profits of the workshop
•Develop and upgrade the workshop capabilities, registrations and approvals
•Training and development of personnel and skills up- gradation
•Build and optimize capacity models to handle peak volumes in a multi-site/shift scenario with a view to balance service and costs
•Continuously monitor, develop and agree, in conjunction with the team, industry recognized service delivery parameters
•Being the key member of the operations team, the role holder will support build the operations strategy in conjunction with other members of the senior members of the team
•Plan for and carry out infrastructure sizing in view of the business requirements and projections
•Develop systems and procedures for timely delivery of products
•Liaise with procurement for purchase of materials
•To establish target and monitor key operational KPIs; that will help track and control project capabilities and ensure productivity enhancement.
